Our volleyball team had the opportunity to participate in a camp at Pensacola Christian College last week. "We had such a great week at camp and I'm especially thankful for the lady in the middle, Coach Grant. She pushed me to do my best and strive for nothing less than excellency. I can't wait to start this season and improve my skills for God's glory! Get ready to work hard Lady Lions!" --Kirstin Pfaehler
Led by Mark Valdario (04) and Michael Fulmer (06) the alumni men came back from a 5-2 deficit to tie up the game 5-5 in regulation. The alumni eventually pulled out a victory winning in a shoot out 3-2 . The alumni ladies did not fare as well as they dropped their volleyball contest to the GCS Lady Lions 3 game to 1. Laurynn and Amanda Gorski, Katie Colwell, Brittany Webster, Victoria Corgan, Hannah Maggio, and Whitney Bennett played for the alumni.

The Lions Varsity golf team has had a great season. They are 12 and 2 in match play and will be heading to the State Tournament to face Oconee for the SCACS State Title. Junior Tyler Smith is the favorite for medalist going into the tournament. Strong play by Senior Caleb Martin has helped secure the Lions' first trip to State as a full team. Coach David Smith, in his twelfth year as head coach, is excited about the progress players have made over the years.
