The primary mission of Grace Christian School is to train children to know and serve the Lord. While this happens daily though classroom teaching, GCS also provides specific programs targeted directly towards spiritual growth. The goal as stated in Galatians 2:20 is for Christians to shine the Biblical truth “ Christ liveth in me.” Content for all GCS Spiritual Development classes and activities is first and foremost accurate to the Word of God, but is also consistent with the Grace Baptist Church Statement of Faith found at www.gbcwc.org.
While all GCS classes are taught from a Biblical worldview perspective, Kindergarten through 12th grade students also participate in dedicated, required daily Bible classes. Students study and memorize Scripture, explore Bible themes and events, and are challenged to grow in their personal love for God’s Word. Ultimately, our Bible classes are designed to lead students to a knowledge of Jesus Christ as Savior and then personal growth in walking with the Holy Spirit.
Weekly chapel services provide opportunities for 1st through 12th grade students to hear Biblical preaching and to respond to God’s Word. Area pastors, Christian leaders, alumni, and GCS faculty present the Word of God in each chapel service. Time is also spent worshipping God through the gift of music.
Christian Life Seminar is a weekly apologetics course taught by the senior pastor of Grace Baptist Church to all 7th-12th graders. The purpose of CLS is to equip students to answer life questions and make decisions fully based on Biblical truth.
Timothy Club is an after-school club offered to 9th-12th graders. The club meets on Wednesday afternoons immediately after school. The purpose is to encourage older GCS students to consider full-time vocational Christian service.
