On Monday, September 12, the GCS Booster Club will be hosting a patriotic themed special event at that evening’s home game. Students are encouraged to wear red, white, blue, and America themed tops with uniform bottoms to school that day in preparation for the ball game. Everyone is welcome to come show their love for America!

We have so many new faces around GCS this year! Each week for the next few newsletters, we will highlight both a new staff member and a returning staff member to help all of us get to know each other better.
Kelly Johnson | Mrs. Johnson has served at Grace Christian School since 2012. She has filled many roles in the classroom and currently teaches several of our history classes and a Senior High Bible class. She enjoys sports (especially anything Auburn Tigers) and does a wonderful job coaching our girls volleyball team and cheerleading squad. Currently, she is pursuing her Masters Degree in History from Maranatha Baptist University so that she can broaden the dual enrollment options here at GCS. She also serves our 7th-12th Grade girls with guidance and development activities. We look forward to Mrs. Johnson’s continued service here at GCS.
Sarah Hurt | Mrs. Hurt has joined our staff this year as our Elementary Administrative Assistant. Mrs. Hurt is no stranger to GCS though. She has been our go-to substitute these past few years in kindergarten and elementary classrooms. While not working here at Grace, Mrs. Hurt continues to run her personal businesses and actively participate in the programs here at Grace Baptist Church. We are excited to have Mrs. Hurt serving here at GCS in the office.
