Tip-Off Tournament
The GCS Varsity Basketball Season tips off tonight, Friday, November 8. The tip-off tournament games begin at 3:00 PM. The Grace Varsity girls will play at 6:00 PM, and the Varsity boys will play at 7:30 PM against the Cross Creek Crusaders from Laurinburg, NC. Come out and cheer on your lions!
The middle school teams will play their first games on Saturday, November 9 at 9:00 AM (Boys) and 10:00 AM (Girls) at Northside Christian Academy, 4347 Sunset Boulevard, Lexington, SC 29072.
Pile Up the Pantry
We are excited to be able to serve our local community through the Grace Baptist Ministries Food Bank. Weekly class totals will be announced in the Elementary Chapel.
During the month of November, the Kindergarten-5th graders are competing to see which class can collect more canned goods to fill up our food pantry. The winning class will have a special party day and will get to dress up their teacher for our Christmas Chapel.
Canned goods collected are to be no larger than 16oz. For more information please email your student’s teacher.
Veteran’s Day
Retired Sergeant First Class Bob Knox showcased a portion of his extensive military history collection as he shared stories from his time in service. Friday’s event helped teach the students about the significance of our veterans as we prepare to celebrate Veterans Day on Monday, November 11th..
Krispy Kreme Donuts!
Please help the Juniors fundraiser as they sell Krispy Kreme Donuts for $15 per dozen. Payment options are cash, check, or Venmo (@gavin-lockaby).
Rescheduled Christmas Concert
The auditorium of Grace Baptist Church will be undergoing some updates to the lighting and sound systems in the next few weeks. While we are excited for these needed updates, the contractor’s schedule has necessitated some revisions to our own Fine Arts Calendar. The GCS Christmas Concert originally scheduled for December 5th has been rescheduled for December 12th. We believe that the auditorium will be completed and ready for use by that time. If, for some reason, the auditorium is still not completed by December 12th, we will still have the concert on that evening but will move the location to the Family Life Center gymnasium.
The Christmas instrumental recitals scheduled for December 12th have been moved to December 16th. Studio teachers will reach out to you with additional information about those recitals.
