We have so many new faces around GCS this year! Each week for the next few newsletters, we will highlight both a new staff member and a returning staff member to help all of us get to know each other better.
Joy Martin | Mrs. Martin has been serving here at Grace with her husband since 2009. They are both graduates of Pensacola Christian College. After graduating from PCC, they traveled around the country representing their alma mater. Since coming to GCS, Mrs. Martin has fulfilled many essential roles from being one of our music instructors to elementary secretaries. This year, she is our 1st grade teacher. In her spare time, Mrs. Martin enjoys cooking, baking, and sitting down with a good book.
Scott Kizzire | Mr. Kizzire is one of our math teachers in the Jr. High and High School. He has been a part of the staff here at GCS for 15 years now. Over the years, Mr. Kizzire has taught science, Bible, and math classes. Today, he continues to teach math to our Jr. & Sr. High students. A fun fact about Mr. Kizzire is that his wife is a graduate of Grace Christian School and is also a current teacher here. In his free time, Mr. Kizzire likes working with small engines, watching the Andy Griffith Show and Alabama football, and spending time with his wife and 4 children.
Rachel Cunningham | Mrs. Cunningham is a first year teacher at GCS and teaches one of our K4 classes. She has been very familiar with Grace Christian School since a young age. As a child, she attended GCS while her mother taught in the elementary. Mrs. Cunningham is an avid coffee lover. She especially enjoys any cute local coffee shop. If you ever meet her, you will be refreshed by her encouraging spirit and bubbly personality.
