A Message From Mr. Martin:

Summer is a busy time of planning and preparation for next year. We have many new families planning to join us next year. We are also excited about new staff and faculty additions for the upcoming year. Joining us in K3 will be Mrs. Ginger Smith. Mrs. Smith has worked for many years in our infant building. We are excited to have Miss Alexis Hay joining our staff as band and music teacher. She will teach the bands, elementary choir, elementary music classes, and private instrument lessons. Mrs. Sarah Hurt will also be joining us full-time in the elementary office. In 5th grade, we are excited to have Miss Bailey Goforth joining us.

A few of our current staff and faculty will be moving to new positions. Mrs. Cox will be moving back to K4. Mrs. Ragsdale is transitioning to a full-time position with HCA. Mrs. Ramsey is staying on in a part-time position of speech and girl’s PE. We will also have Miss Giegerich remaining in a part-time role with some music lessons and assistance in the kindergarten building. Pastor Ramsey and Pastor Colton Gideons will be teaching a couple of our JH and SH Bible classes.

We are grateful for the past year of working together with Miss Arsnoe. She is transitioning to a new career in Florence. Miss Hawks will also be transitioning out of the K4 classroom. We are thankful for the two years that she has served with us. Both of these ladies brought a wonderful joy to the K4 classrooms.

We are also both excited and sad at the same time that our long-time high school secretary, Mrs. Jeannie Sleigher, will be transitioning in the fall to a part-time position with the plan to fully retire in January. Mrs. Sleigher has served GCS for 39 years. We will let you know about plans to celebrate her retirement as we get closer to that time. Coming to join us in the high school office is one of our GCS graduates, Miss Anne Smith. We are excited to have Miss Smith join us and look forward to her serving us in the office and with some private string lessons.

We still have a few positions that we are working to fill as we grow here at Grace. We hope you have a great summer and look forward to seeing you again in August!

There are many summer opportunities and activities that we want to make sure you are aware of. Mark your calendars for these important summer events and dates from Grace Christian School and Grace Baptist Church:
