Grace Baptist Church: Back to School Bash!
The Grace Baptist Church youth group will be hosting a Back to School Bash for all students grades 7th-12th on August 13th from 1:00-4:00pm. There will be lots of competition fro Big Ball Games, Relay Races, Nerf Battles, and Archery Tag! You will also be challenged in God’s Word by Evangelist Kurt Copeland. All 7th-12th grade teens are invited, so invite your friends! This is a completely free event! Drop off and pickup locations will be located at the Hansen Chapel.

Please make sure your August tuition has been paid. Login to your MySchoolWorx account to see your statement and pay online, or, drop cash or check by any of the school offices. Only one email address per family can be linked to the Quickbooks program we are using through MySchoolWorx. If the email address you are using at login is not allowing you to see your statement or pay your account, try logging in with your spouses email username. Also, payments can not be made through the MySchoolWorx app at this time. Payments must be made on the website at portal.myschoolworx.com.
At Back to School Night, purchase your child’s lunch tickets in the school office. You can now purchase these by card, cash, or check in the Elementary Office, or by cash or check in the High School Office. Lunch tickets cost $40 for a ticket of 10 lunches.
Immunizations
All GCS students must have a current South Carolina immunization certificate, or a South Carolina Religious Exemption form on file with the school office by the first day of school, August 15, 2022. A list of updates to the requirements for the 2022-23 school year can be found here.

The 7th-12th grade soccer and volleyball seasons are underway! Make sure your student has an up-to-date sports physical form by the first practices. Sports physical forms expire after one year and an appointment will need to be scheduled with your child’s physician. A copy of the sports physical form can be found under the athletics tab at www.gracelions.com or by clicking here.
Mandatory Athletic Parent Meeting
A mandatory parent meeting will also be held on Back to School Night, August 11 at 5:15pm for any parents who will have a 7th-12th grade student participating in sports during the 2022-23 school year.
Alumni Games
The annual GCS Alumni Soccer and Volleyball games will be held on Friday, August 12. The mens’ alumni soccer game will begin at 6:30pm and the ladies’ alumni volleyball game at 7:45pm. All families are invited to join us for a fun-filled evening!
Meet our NEW and Transitioning Teachers and Staff!
We have many new faces around campus this school year! We also have some not-so-new faces transitioning to different roles. Mrs. Kim Cox will transition to K4. (We are highly anticipating the arrival of baby Cox in November!) Mrs. Joy Martin will be teaching 1st Grade and Mrs. Sarah Hurt will be taking the Elementary Office position. Give a big welcome to our new staff and faculty joining us at GCS this year!
