Middle School (Grades 6-8)

In middle school, students begin to solidify their earlier learning as they branch out into new and more challenging areas of academic and personal growth. It is also a time when they begin to ask the “why’s?” about their faith and begin to take personal ownership of their relationship with Christ. Rapid physical and emotional changes are taking place and relationships with peers take on a new dynamic. The junior high years truly are a great adventure!

Middle school students are given a bit more freedom, from lockers to switching classes – all in an atmosphere of care and help. Classes in life skills and mentorship help to guide these students through this transitional phase of life. Academics continue in the GCS standard of excellence and students are stretched as they prepare for the next phase of their learning and development in high school. The BJU Press curriculum is continued through the middle school years and into high school as well.
